Sneak peek into Unnatural Beauty

Here’s a sneak peek of the installation art exhibition we’re curating in conjunction with Singapore Design Festival 2009. The installation is created from biodegradable forks and spoons made from corn starch. These forks and spoons are painstakingly attached with nylon lines so that they can be reused after the exhibition. The inspiration behind is plastic waste and we hope to create more awareness and motivation for individuals to change their plastic consumption habits. Last year, the inconspicuous coffee stirrer, plastic bags, takeway lunch boxes, plastic forks and spoons all add up to a hefty 640 million kg of plastic waste in Singapore alone.
